Jose Merced Carrizales

Funeral Services for Jose Merced Carrizales, 83, Clinton resident will be held 1:00 P.M. Friday, January 25, 2019 in the Tabernaculo De Adoracion Church, officiated by Pastor Jairo Carmona. Burial will follow in the Clinton Cemetery under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home. Jose Merced Carrizales was born September 24, 1935 to Inez and Emilia (Castillo) Carrizales in Monterrey, Mexico and passed away Monday January 21, 2019 in his Clinton Home. Jose was raised in Moctezuma, San Luis, Mexico where he also received his schooling. He joined the Mexican Army in 1953 and served two years. He was married to Ignacia Camarillo in May of 1954. While in Mexico he was a farm labor worker. He moved his family to the United States in 1967 living in Pregreso, TX. The family began doing migrant work and moved all over the United States doing seasonal work. He settled in Clinton in 2000. He is a member of the Tabernaculo De Adoracion Church; he enjoyed playing dominoes, fishing, baseball, soccer and riding horses. He is preceded in death by his parents and three daughters, Julianita, Adelita and Ofelia, granddaughter, Ana Mendoza. He is survived by 8 children, Tomasa and husband Doroteo Carrizales, Bertha Crawford, Jaime and wife, Juanita Carrizales, Hilario and wife, Juanita Carrizales, Maria and husband, Sergio Marquez, Jose Merced , Jr. and wife Maria Carrizales, Jose A. and wife, Lupita Carrizales and Carolina and husband Mario Emmanuel Coutino. He is also survived by 29 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.
