Graveside Services for Joye Richardson, 93, Clinton resident will be held 11:00 A.M., Saturday, April 30, 2022, in the Mound Valley Cemetery in Thomas, OK, officiated by son in law, Jason Duckworth and under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home. The family will greet guest Friday, 5:00 P.M. till 7:00 P.M. in the Kiesau Lee Funeral Home. Joye Lea Richardson was born February 19, 1929, to Julian Searcy Kimbro and Fannie Vivian (Taylor) Kimbro in Indianapolis, OK and passed away Tuesday, April 26, 2022, in the Homestead Assisted Living Center in Clinton, OK. She was raised in the Indianapolis area. She attended Bell View school and later graduated from Custer City High School in 1947. Soon after high school she married Ted Isaac Richardson on May 22, 1947, in Custer City, OK. She attended cosmetology school in Weatherford, OK. She worked as a beautician for a couple of years and then she became a stay-at-home mom. In 1972 she was co-owner with her husband in the Richardson House of Carpet. She worked along beside her husband until their retirement in 1993. She has been a resident of the Angelwood Assisted Living Center (now Angelwood) for the past six years. She was a faithful member of the Life Fellowship Church in Weatherford; her hobby was teaching the Bible and leading others to Christ. She is preceded in death by her husband, Ted; her parents, two sisters, Elizabeth Powers, and Junita Hoffman and a brother, J.C. Kimbro. She is survived by daughter, Kim Duckworth and husband, Jason and two sons, Mike Richardson and wife, Kathy, Vancouver, Canada and Steve Richardson and wife, Dolores, Yukon, OK. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
