Funeral Services for Juan T. Lira, Jr., 44, Clinton and Cowden resident will be held 10:"00 A.M., Friday, September 11, 2015 in the Cheyenne/Arapaho Community Building, officiated by Rev. Ramus Hicks and Rev. George Akeen. Burial will conclude in the Clinton Indian Cemetery under the direction of the Kiesau Lee Funeral Home. A Traditional All Night Wake Service will be held starting 7:00 P.M., Thursday September 10, 2015 in the Life Abundant Church. Juan Trinidad Lira, Jr. was born May 25, 1971 to Juan Trinidad Lira, Sr. in Clinton, Oklahoma and died in a pedestrian/car accident on Tuesday, September 8, 2015 in Clinton, Oklahoma. Juan was raised in Vernon, Texas and Chillicothe, TX and graduated from Treasure Lake High School. He joined the Job Corps when he was 16 years. He worked in Florida and Georgia as a certified concrete finisher. He moved back to Oklahoma in 1995 and has lived in the Clinton and Cordell/Cowden areas. He had been employed with the Sewell Brothers Construction, Everett Musick and Roger Thompson. He was a member of the Pentecostal Church, the Cheyenne/Arapaho Tribes of Oklahoma; he enjoyed breeding and raising roosters and cock fighting. He was preceded in death by his two sisters, Angela Lira Leija and Jennifer Lira. He is survived by his parent's, Juan, Sr. and Ula Lira of Cowden, two sisters, Juanita Lira Anaya, Vernon, TX and Margarita Lira Nava, of Clinton. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
