IN LOVING MEMORY of JUANITA GOUCHER IGO Passed into eternal life, April 26, 2015 Funeral Services for Juanita Igo, 96Long Born in Cordell, Oklahoma, on June 15, 1918, Juanita was the third of eight children of Edna Hutton and Joseph Wesley Goucher. Her siblings...Charlie, Irene, Eva, Dewey, Arlie, Lee and Alfred...preceded her in death. Juanita attended the Lone Tree and Shiloh Elementary Schools and Cordell High School. On December 25, 1937, she married Alva J. Igo of Bessie, Oklahoma, with whom she shared fifty-four years of endearing love, until "Alvie" died in 1991. They raised a family of six: Coleen Kelley of Escondido, CA; Treva Trent, deceased, formerly of Piedmont, OK; Danny of Mounds, OK; Barbara Cuccolo of Milford, PA and Sebastian FL; Peggy Subia of Eakly, OK; and Roger of Austin TX. She is further survived by fifteen grandchildren, thirty-five great grandchildren, and five great-great grandchildren. While her beloved Alvie went off to Europe and World War II, Juanita cared for the first four of her children and maintained the family farm. After his return and the birth of their fifth and sixth children, she raised her family and tended to housework, while also serving as a cook in the Southwest Elementary School in Clinton, Ok, from which she eventually retired. She sold her house in Clinton in 2009 and took up residence in the Angelwood Assisted Living Home, until moving into the Binger Nursing Home and Rehabilitation in 2014. A life-long member of Clinton's Church of Christ, Juanita will be remembered as a gentle, loving and devoted wife and mother.
