Juanita Hill

Funeral Services for Juanita Hill, 87, Rocky resident will be held 10:00 A.M., Friday, January 15, 2016 in the First Baptist Church in Cordell, Oklahoma officiated by grandson, Rev. Skylar Spradlin and Rev. Marvin Kehl. Burial will conclude in the Lone Star Cemetery in Rocky, Oklahoma under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home. Juanita Delpha (Martin) Hill was born January 3, 1929 to Albert and Eula L. (Lee) Martin in Port, Oklahoma and passed away Tuesday, January 12, 2016 in the Deaconess, Hospital in Oklahoma City. Mrs. Hill was raised in Port as a young girl and at the age of 14 she moved to Rocky, Oklahoma with her family. She attended Rocky School and graduated from high school in 1946. At the age of 14 she also met the love of her life, Harold Cleve Hill. When they met he told her "Glad to know you, be gladder to know you better." They were married on August 21, 1948 in Vernon, Texas and they became well acquainted after being married for over 67 years and sweethearts, for over 72 years. Before marrying she worked at the TG&Y five and dime store in Hobart. When she married they made their permanent home in Rocky where they raised their family and has continued to live until the present. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brother, Dearnold Martin, and Roy Martin; seven sisters, Audrey Martin, U.V. Roach, Aileen Boyd, Fern Friend, Ivy Martin, Pat Cook and Edwina Martin. She has been a longtime active and faithful member of the Baptist Church, she was a member of the church ladies auxiliary and she has taught Sunday school for over 40 years. She was presently attending the First Baptist Church in Cordell. She loved the outdoors and working in her yard and flower beds; she enjoyed traveling with her husband and making trips to Branson, MO; she liked to fish; she was a wonderful cook and was well known for her brownies. Her passion was her family and especially talking about and spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by her husband, Cleve, of the home, daughter Sherrie Spradlin and husband, Ralph, Cordell, and two sons, Randall Hill and wife, Nancy, Blanchard, OK and Dennis Hill and wife, Renee, Clinton; sister, Wanda Wyatt, Duncanville, TX and brother, Albert "Henry" Martin, El Paso, TX. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, Jodi Holland and husband, Tim, Stillwater, OK, Paige Hill, Edmond, OK, Beau Hill, Las Angeles, CA, Megan Stair and husband Brad, OKC, OK, Sarah Hill, Stillwater, OK, Skylar Spradlin and wife, Jamie, Weatherford, OK and Kendi Spradlin, of Weatherford, Oklahoma; three great-grandchildren, Stephanie Hill, Jackson Holland and Luke Holland.
