Funeral Services for Mr. J.W. Brown, 86, former Clinton Businessman, will be held 10:00 A.M., Monday, August 24, 2015 in the Kiesau Memorial Chapel, officiated by Roland Youngberg. Burial will conclude in the Mound Valley Cemetery in Thomas, OK under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home. J.W. Brown was born February 5, 1929 to William A. Brown and Zella (Corn) Brown in Thomas, Oklahoma and passed away Thursday, August 20, 2015 in the Grace Living Center in Clinton, OK He was raised in the Putnam area and graduated from Putnam High School in 1947. He farmed with Gilbert Adler in Texas. He was married to Margie Foster on April 3, 1948. They moved to Clinton and where he was employed with Bill Teel Chevrolet. In 1963 he established J.W. Brown Real Estate Business and operated that until his retirement in 2010. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church; he was a member of the Rotary Club; he was a Mason and he enjoyed sports and especially football. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, granddaughter, Lori Beth Parr two sisters Glenda and Clara Patsy Ferrell. He is survived by his two daughters, Linda Parr, of Clinton and Jamie Brown, of Yreka, CA and a son Jeff Brown, of Clinton; two sisters Arlene of Yukon, OK and JoAnn of California and a brother Dennis Brown, of Shawnee. He is also survived by three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren
