Funeral Services for Kathy (Cummins) Steffes, 62, Clinton resident will be held 2:00 P.M., Thursday, June 22, 2017 in the First Mennonite Church in Clinton, officiated by Daniel Moseburg. Burial will conclude in the Clinton Cemetery, under the direction of Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home. Kathy Cummins was born on June 13, 1955 in Clinton, Oklahoma to the parents of Everette and Juantia Cummins. She passed away from this earth on Monday, June 19, 2017 in Oklahoma City. Kathy was the youngest of four children. She was raised in Clinton and attended Clinton Public Schools graduating Clinton High School in 1974. She worked several jobs with a long running employment at the Sonic Drive Inn and several restaurants and Angelwood Assistant Living and Methodist Nursing Home. She also volunteered in the children's department at the First Mennonite Church where she attended. On January 5, 1990, she married Mickey Steffes in Arapaho, Oklahoma, and they live their entire married life in Clinton. She is preceded in death by her parents Everett and Juantia Cummins, two sisters JoAnn (Cummins) Schroeder and Carrie Sue (Cummins) Ford, father and mother-in-law Leo and Gertrude Steffes. Kathy leaves behind a loving husband, Mickey Steffes, and two step-children Jessica Benaides, Thomas, OK and James Steffes, Burk Burdette, TX, four grandchildren, one brother Bill Cummins and wife Connie, Clinton, brother-in-laws Clifford Steffes and Johnny Steffes, both of Clinton, Gary Steffes and wife Rita, Clinton, Larry Steffes and wife Dorie, Virginia, sister-in-laws, Sally James and husband Jimmy, Clinton, Sharon James and Bill Fleming, Clinton, Edwina Hurley and husband Rick, Tulsa, Rhonda Williams and husband Mark, Clinton. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins, and many family and friends that she loved dearly. Memorial may be made to the First Mennonite Church Children's Department in Clinton, Oklahoma
