Funeral Services for Kenneth A. Nance, 77, Clinton resident will be held 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, March 3, 2015 in the First Church of God officiated by Rev. Roy Dobbs, Sandy Shepherd and Greg Hill. Burial will conclude in the Butler Cemetery under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home. Kenneth Albert Nance was born November 27, 1937 to Thomas Albert Nance and Rosa Bertha (Baumgartner) Nance in Clinton, Oklahoma and passed away Friday, February 27, 2015 in the Clinton Regional Hospital in Clinton. Kenneth was raised in Butler and graduated from Butler High School in 1956. He was married to Wanda Lou Kauk June 15, 1957 in Butler. He worked for Wilbur Levell and Lin Manufacturing Company before starting a 30 year career with the United States Postal Service. He retired in 1992 from the Post Office, but he became self-employed working on small engines and lawn mowers and worked maintenance at the Custer County Fair Grounds. He was preceded in death by his parents He was a member of the Freewill Baptist church; he had been on numerous bowling teams and he served as the Secretary of the bowling association and he was president of the local postal association. He loved the outdoors and liked to fish, hunt and camp out and he also raised registered Berkshire pigs. He was seen for over 30 years on the side lines of the Clinton Red Tornado Football Games running the chains. He cherished the time he spent with his coffee buddies every morning at the coffee shop. He is survived by his wife, Wanda of the home, two daughters. Debra Nance, Amarillo, TX, Kim Nance, of Dallas, TX and a son, Randy Nance and wife, Cara, of Edmond, OK. He is also survived by one grandson, Colin Nance and his fiancée, Meagan Taylor, of Oklahoma City, OK. The family has suggested those wanting to give a memorial contribution may do so to the First Church of God Church in Clinton.
