Funeral Services for Kenneth LeDon Thornbrough, 77, of Mountain will be held 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, February 21, 2017 in the Kiesau Memorial Chapel, officiated by Rev. Aaron Lawrence. Burial will follow in the Arapaho Cemetery in Arapaho, OK under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home. Kenneth LeDon Thornbrough was born October 2, 1939 to Zora and Lela (Goff) Thornbrough in Rhea, OK and passed away early Saturday, February 18, 2017, in the Integris Hospital in Edmond, OK. Kenneth was raised in Rhea and Clinton and graduated from Clinton High School in 1957. He soon enlisted in the U.S. Army Reserves and was a helicopter pilot and achieved the Rank of Warrant Officer. He married Charlene Miller on November 23, 1958 in Rhea. They have made their homes in Clinton and Mountain View. He owned and operated a construction company, farmed, and served as a soil technician for the Soil Conservation Service, and was an Agriculture Pilot and pilot instructor. He retired in 1998 but continued to farm. His greatest enjoyment was the time spent with his children, and grandchildren. He enjoyed working on electronic devices and is a U.S. Patent holder. As one of his hobby interest he worked on and remodeled Model T cars and enjoyed sharing them with others; he served on the Washita County Farm Bureau Board of Directors. He was preceded in death by his parents, infant twin sons, Mark and Marvin; two sisters, Geraldine Follis, Janie Hire and a brother, Leaford Thornbrough. He is survived by his wife, Charlene, of the home, three daughters, Donna Parker and Dwayne King, Dewey, OK, Denise Worley and husband, Thomas, Mt. View, OK, and Lela Susan Pirtle and husband Randy, Copan, OK, and a son, Kenneth Thornbrough, Jr. and wife, Rhonda, Yukon, OK; three sisters, Evalyene Williams, Leedey, OK, Marlene Renison and husband Bill, Clinton, OK and Pat Bodkin and husband, Don, Edmond, OK and a brother Samuel Thornbrough and wife, Velda, Sayre, OK. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, Halee Lawrence and husband, Aaron, Erin Rainey and husband, Nathan, Aspen Pirtle and Shelby Heise, Jesse Scribner, Charles Worley, Brenna Parker, Cassie Green and husband, Cory, Corbin Thornbrough and Colin Thornbrough; two great-grandchildren, Grady Rainey and Maverick Scribner and two foster great-grandchildren.
