Funeral Services for Kenneth L. Shepard, 84, Clinton resident will be held 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, September 16, 2014 in the Christ Community Church (On the corner of Lera and East Main) in Weatherford, OK, officiated by Pastor Gary Miller. Burial will conclude in the Mound Valley Cemetery in Thomas, OK. Kenneth Lee Shepard was born July 23, 1930 to George D. and Gradie (Ballew) Shepard in Custer city, Oklahoma and passed away early Saturday, September 13, 2014 in the Integris Clinton Regional Hospital, in Clinton, OK. Kenneth was raised and attended school in Custer City. He was married to June Marie Miller on July 5, 1953 in Thomas, OK. He began a career with Rock Island Rail Road in 1955 and worked as a lineman for over 22 years retiring in 1977. He was also the owner and operator of Shepard and Sons Honey farm. He has delivered honey all over Western, Oklahoma and parts of Kansas. He was a faithful and active member of the Christ Community Church in Weatherford; he enjoyed fishing with his son and grandsons, working in his yard and garden and was well known for his watermelons. He is preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Harley Shepard and a sister, Verla Shepard Walker. He is survived by his wife, June, of the Home, a son, Kendall Lee Shepard and wife, Kathy, of Clinton, three daughters, Keryl Shepard Lacy, and Debbie Shepard Kauk and husband, Duane, both of Clinton and Dianna Dee Shepard Lovelady and husband Mick, of Edmond., OK. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, Lori Lacy Talley, Kendra Shepard Martin, Sarah Shepard McKinley, Amy Shepard Tilley, Seth Lovelady, Lexie Lovelady Beavers, Jay Brooks Braffett and Chase Shepard Kauk; And eight great-grandchildren. The family has suggested those wanting to give a memorial contribution may do so to the Christ Community Church, P.O. Box, Weatherford, OK 73096 or Voice of the Martyrs, P.O.
