A Chapel Service for Kenny Owen, 89, Clinton resident will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, November 12, 2014 in the Chapel of Kiesau Funeral Home officiated by Doyle Kinney. Burial will follow in the Arapaho Cemetery under the direction of Lee Funeral Homes. Kenneth Robert Owen was born December 11, 1924 in Clinton, OK to Lawrence and Emma (Mueller) Owen. He passed away November 8, 2014 in the Deaconess Hospital, Oklahoma City, Ok. He was raised in the Clinton area and a Clinton graduate of 1943. He served in the Navy during World War II and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He married his wife, Dorlia Smith, on November 21, 1953. They made their home in Clinton. He was employed by the Clinton Glass Company and Clinton Lumber Company. His interests varied between wood working, fishing, camping and being a Boy Scout Leader. He truly enjoyed his grandchildren. Survivors include two sons: Gary Owen and his wife, Karen of Clinton and Craig Owen and Shauna Hacker of Arapaho: two grand daughters: Kolby Kenny and her husband, Rob, of Anchorage, Alaska and Kelsey Martin and her husband, Adam, of Little Elm, TX. And three great grandchildren: Zachary and Chase Kenny and Emma Martin. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorlia, both parents: Lawrence and Emma Owen; one grandson, Glen Owen; one brother, Harry Owen and one sister, Marion Rosenthol.
