Kurt Wayne Conway

Funeral Services for Kurt Conway, 41, Clinton resident, will be held 11:00 AM. Thursday, May 18, 2023, in the Clinton First Baptist Church, officiated by Pastor Doug Lewis. Burial with military honors will follow in the Stafford Cemetery under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home.

Kurt Wayne Conway was born January 20, 1982, to Curtis Conway and Renee (Gray) Conway in Oklahoma City, OK and passed away Sunday, May 14, 2023, in the Veterans Hospital in Oklahoma City, OK.

Kurt started school in Norman, OK and moved to Clinton while in the 6th grade. He continued school in Clinton and graduated from Clinton High School in 2001. He enlisted in the U.S. Army in 2002 and was honorably discharged in 2006. He returned to Clinton and attended Southwestern Oklahoma State University graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in Park Law in 2023.

He worked several years as a bus driver for the Clinton Public Schools.

He is a member of the First Baptist Church, he enjoyed working on cars, playing video games and working out at the gym.

He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Bill Rex and Peggy Conway and maternal granddad Dale Ray.

He is survived by his daughter, Lexie Conway, son, Jesse Conway, both of the home, mother, Renee Gauger, Clinton, OK and dad, Curtis Conway, of Wayne, OK, sister, Angela Gauger, Childress, TX and brother, Blake Conway an wife, Kayla Ann, Grove, OK, maternal grandmother, Peggy Gray, Norman, OK.
