A Celebration of Life Service for Kyle Ray, 62, Burns Flat resident will be held 10:00 A.M., Thursday, October 26, 2015 in the Arapaho Tabernacle Baptist Church, officiated by Rev. Wendell Folsom and Alan Thompson and under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home. James Kyle Ray was born May 11, 1953 to Carlton and Theresa (Berry) Ray in Altus, OK and passed away Monday, October 28, 2015 in his Burns Flat home following a battle with cancer. Mr. Ray was raised in Altus and graduated from Altus High School in 1971. He continued his education, completing a couple of semesters at Cameron University in Lawton. OK. He began his working career in the oilfields. He was married to Sandra Jo Thompson on February 7, 1998 in Bessie, OK and they have made their home in Burns Flat. He has been employed with MODA at Burns Flat until he was forced to medically retire in June of 2015. He is preceded in death by a daughter, Ginger Smith and a sister Michelle Corbin. He is a member of the Tabernacle Baptist Church; he was an outdoorsman; loved working in the yard; he was very musically inclined, playing music as well as listening to different kinds of music; he was an avid sports fan, especially football, he was a man about nature; his passion was his family. He is survived by his wife, Sandy, of the home, daughter, Vanessa Wohl and husband, Andres, of Hollister, MO, mother and step father, Theresa and Walter Hoehne, of Altus and dad and step mother, Carlton and Sue, of Tipton; sister, Monica Merritt, of Oklahoma City, OK and three brothers, Mike Ray, of Altus, Gene Paul Ray, of Abilene, TX and Mike Merritt, of Cordell, OK. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, Stoney Cormier, Ryan Zacc Reardon, Bryan Cormier, David Reardon, Trinity Larson, A.J. Wohl, Aubrey Wohl and Shekinah-Glory Larson.
