Funeral Services for Lance Merrill, 32, Clinton resident will be held 10:00 A.M., Thursday, July 9, 2015 in the Church of Christ, 2601 Custer Ave. officiated by Pat Peters and Vann Leonard. Burial will conclude in the Clinton Cemetery under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home. Lance Clayton Merrill was born September 29, 1982 to Kyle Byron Merrill and Rhonda Sue (Clayton) Merrill in Clinton, Oklahoma and passed away Saturday, July 4, 2015 near Commanche, OK following an motorcycle accident. Merrill was raised in Clinton and graduated from Clinton High School in 2001. While in high school he attended Burns Flat Vo-tech and received his certificate in Diesel Mechanic. He had been employed with Max McKinsey Motors and Dusty Ballard Motors. He has also been employed in the oilfield as a Derrick hand for the past several years. He is a member of the Church of Christ; he loved fishing and riding motorcycles. He was preceded in death by his Dad, maternal grandparents, Shorty and Alice Clayton, paternal grandparents Bruce and Gwen Merrill and Marvin McCathern. He is survived by his two daughters, Lexa Lyn Merrill and Leslie Clayton Merrill and the mother of his children, Lori (Schmidt) Merrill; his parents, Rhonda and Farron McCathern, a brother, Christopher "Topher" McCathern and wife, Terra, all of Clinton and sister Jami Dudgeon and husband, Justin, of Bessie, OK; grandmother, Helen McCathern of Anadarko. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
