Funeral Services for Larry Jones, 72, former Clinton Police Officer and City Inspector, will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, November 24, 2018 in the Kiesau Memorial Chapel, officiated by Pastor Bobby Stewart. Burial will conclude in the Odessa Cemetery in Gotebo, OK under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home. Larry Mac Jones was born November 9, 1946 to Edward Elwood Jones and Lillian Opal( Garrett) Jones in Jacksonville, TX and passed away early Wednesday, November 21, 2018 in his home in Corn, Oklahoma. The family moved to Snyder, TX when Larry was five years old where he grew up and graduated High School in 1966. After serving in the Army during Vietnam as an MP, he was Honorably Discharge and continued his career of Public Service with the Snyder, TX police department. Within a few years Larry and his young family moved to Western Oklahoma where after many years of faithful service to the Communities of Western Oklahoma he retired from the Clinton Police Department, then City Sanitation Department and Clinton Building Inspector and finally from Oklahoma State Construction Industrial Board. He was a Member of the Masonic Lodge. He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, hunting and spending time with his grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother, Edward Lynn Jones and granddaughter, Verena Amirilla Wardwell. He is survived by his wife, Jo Ann, of the home, daughter, Cassie Jones and husband Nick, Chickasha; three sons, Joe Burch, Clinton, Shannon Jennings, Corn and Eddie Jones and wife, Jennifer, Portland, OR; his brother, Ronnie Jones and spouse Joyce Lively , two nephews, one niece, 20 grandchildren and one great grandchild.
