Larry Wayne Sawatzky

A Memorial Service for Larry Sawatzky, 79, Weatherford resident, will be held 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, November 29, 2022, in the Kiesau Memorial Chapel officiated by Chaplain Ron Thiessen and under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home.

Larry Wayne Sawatzky was born January 2, 1943, to Albert and Sadie (McLaughlin) Sawatzky in Clinton, OK and passed away Friday, November 25, 2022, at his Weatherford, OK home.

He attended and graduated from Arapaho High School in 1961. Larry served in the United States Air Force. He was employed at the 3M Company in Weatherford where he retired after 33 years. He also farmed and ranched his whole life and it was one of his greatest joys. He was a collector of antique tractors and obtained numerous trucks over the years and had nicknames for all of them, whether they ran or not.

Larry married Carol Gentry on October 19, 1967, and to this union two daughters were born, Jennifer and Abby. He later married Carletta Davis on October 26, 1993, in Eureka Springs, AR.

Larry was preceded in death by his father, Albert, his mother, Sadie, and his stepmother, Susan and his brother, Ronald Sawatzky.

He is survived by his wife, of 29 years, Carletta, of the home, his two daughters Jennifer Sawatzky, Bentonville, AR, and Abby Babb and husband, Kelly, Stuart, OK, stepson, Charlie Riley and wife, Tricia, Corn, OK, and Ronnie Riley and wife, Sarah, Jenks, OK, sister, Andrea Sizemore and husband, Walter, Tulsa, OK.

He is also survived by grandchildren, Derek Beck and wife, Morgan, Weatherford, OK, Hunter Riley, Reid Riley, Aaron Riley and wife Ariel, Jeffrey Riley and wife, Emily, Madison Riley, Lauren Riley, Garrett Kennedy and Lauren Kennedy and numerous nieces and nephews.
