Leland "Coach" Abe Williams

Memorial Services for Leland “Coach” Abe Williams, 52, Arapaho resident will be held 10:00 AM Saturday, October 31, 2020 in the Arapaho-Butler Gymnasium, with the main officiant being Jered Cudd, and under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home. (Masks must be worn to enter and at all times during the service) Leland was born August 23, 1968 at Dalhart, Texas to Kenneth and Linda (Nikkel) Williams, and passed away Thursday, October 22, 2020 in his Arapaho home. Leland was raised in Perryton, Texas. He graduated from Perryton High School in 1987, then continued his education at Oklahoma Panhandle State University, to become a coach. Leland married Dixie (Crist) Williams on July 6, 1991 in Perryton, Texas. He was a member of the EDGE Church in Clinton. He coached all over Oklahoma, he was at Felt, OK., Hardesty, OK., Sentinel OK., Broken Bow, OK., Boise City, OK., Vian, OK., and finally settled in 2012 at Arapaho. Coach (as he was known) loved coaching his teams, hunting, fishing, and wood working. He was survived by his wife Dixie Williams of the home, his daughter Tancy Watkins and her husband Kamoen of Mansfield, Texas, his sons Treyson Williams of Weatherford, Teagan Williams of the home, his parents Kenneth and Linda Williams of Corsicana, Texas, a brother Scott Williams and his wife Kenda of Weatherford, Texas, a grandson Lennox Watkins and one on the way. Instead of flowers, those wishing to, can send a memorial to the Coach Williams Scholarship fund set up at Interbank in Clinton.
