Libbie Jewell Rosenbaum

Graveside services for Libbie Rosenbaum, 95, former Clinton resident will be held 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, August 25, 2020 in the Stafford Cemetery officiated by Eddie Vowell and under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home. Libbie Jewell (Vowell) Rosenbaum was born December 16, 1923 to John Henry Vowell and Bessie Eva (Casey) Vowell in Stafford, OK and passed away early Saturday August 22, 2020 in the Angelwood Assisted Living Center in Clinton, OK. “Lib” was raised and attended school in Stafford. She married Bill Rosenbaum December 8, 1953 in Mena, AR. They made their home in Clinton in 1954. She was an active member of the First United Methodist Church where she volunteered with numerous activities. She was a housewife and home maker; however she was very involved in the community. She was a member of the Parent Teachers Association (PTA) for over 13 years. She was on the Library Committee and the New High School Committee. She was on the board of the Half Way House for over 12 years; Cub Scout Den Mother for four years; the Women’s Democratic Committee and was a volunteer helping with the Clinton Football Programs. She was preceded in death by her husband and moved to California to be with her daughter for several years and had just in the last two weeks moved back to Clinton. She is also preceded in death by son, Ricky Edmonds, brothers, T.J. Vowell, Rufus Vowell, Andy Vowell and L.E. “Short” Vowell and sister, Opal Mae McKee; nephew, Dewayne Vowell. She is survived by daughter, Toni (Rosenbaum) McGee and husband, Johnny, Vacaville, CA; granddaughters, Stephanie and Shannon Thornhill, grandsons, Ryan Edmonds, Trevor DeAnda, and Bubba McGee and great-granddaughter, Heather Thornhill and Daughter in Law, Beverly Edmonds and three great-grandsons.
