Chapel Services for Lillian Melton, 85, Butler resident will be held 2:00 P.M., Monday, November 2, 2015 in the Kiesau Memorial Chapel, officiated by Pastor Roger Comstock. Burial will conclude in the Butler Cemetery under the direction of the Kiesau Lee Funeral Home. Lillian Viola Melton was born June 18, 1930 to Charlie Baumgartner and Hulda (Klein) Baumgartner in Shiloh, OK and passed away Thursday, October 29, 2015 in the Specialty Select Hospital in Mid-West City, OK. Mrs. Melton was raised in the Butler area and attended a country school. She farmed with her family until she married Herman L. Melton on January 2, 1942. They farmed and she baby set for many of the Butler families. She was an active and faithful member of the Pentecostal Holiness Church in Butler; she served as secretary and taught Sunday school. She enjoyed quilting, working with her flowers and hand work. She is preceded in death by her parents,, four sisters, Rosa Nance, Lydia Skelton, Verna Thompson, Juanita Roachell and a brother, Henry Baumgartner and Richard Baumgartner and two nephews, Kenneth Nance and Richard Baumgartner. She is survived by her husband, Herman of the home, and nieces and nephews, Barbara Findley, of Butler, Vickie Baxter, of Arapaho and Cathy Harrelson, of OKC, Ok and four nephews, Ronnie Thompson and Wayne Baumgartner, both of Butler and Albert Baumgartner, of New Mexico and Lonnie Skelton, of Elk City.
