Linda Sue Southerland

Memorial Services for Linda Southerland, 80, Clinton resident will be held 11:00 AM, Tuesday, January 2, 2023, in the Kiesau Memorial Chapel, officiated by Doyle Kinney and under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home.

Linda Sue (Killian) Southerland was born September 29, 1943, in Geary, OK to Loyd Jewel Killian and Vennie Marie (Biggs) Killian of Greenfield, OK and passed away Monday, December 18, 2023, in her Clinton home.

Linda was raised in Greenfield, OK and graduated from Greenfield High School in 1961. She married Mr. Samuel Lee Southerland April 4, 1962, in Watonga, OK.

She was employed by the Clinton Public School Board of Education, serving for many years where she retired.

She was a member of the First Christian Church, the Red Hat Society, Business and Professional Women’s Association, and a member of ESA. She enjoyed her family, reading, traveling with her friends and she had a special love for animals and enjoyed taking care of them.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Terry Southerland, two brothers, Bill, and Willis Killian and two sisters, Alpha Jean Kerr, and Elda Castleberry.

She is survived by daughter, Ellen Martin and husband, Kevin, Elk City, OK, grandson, Scott Martin and wife, Franka Martin, Elk City, OK and a great granddaughter, Maelee Martin.

She is also survived by sisters in law, Lanita Killian, and Pat Killian, and a host of other family members.
