Lonnie Leo "Bud" Mclaughlin

Funeral Services for Leo McLaughlin, 85, Clinton resident will be held 2:00 P.M., Friday, July 1, 2016 in the Kiesau Memorial Chapel, officiated by Doyle Kinney. Burial will conclude in the Butler Cemetery under the direction of the Kiesau Lee Funeral Home. Lonnie Leo "Bud" McLaughlin was born January 26, 1931 to Dosha Faye (Kerns) and James Roy McLaughlin in Clinton, Oklahoma and passed away Saturday, June 25, 2016 in Clinton, Oklahoma. Leo was raised as a youngster in San Diego, CA and the family moved back to Custer County during his teen years and he attended his schooling in Clinton. He worked various jobs through the years, such as trucking, construction work, oilfields, and after retirement farming and ranching. He married Laura Smith November 23, 1948 in Wheeler, TX and she preceded him in death in 2014. His passion was taking care of his animals. He was preceded in death by his parents and a grandson, Pete Ambeau. He is survived by two daughters, Laura Jo Ambeau and husband Harold, Port Allen, TX and Lonnie Mannon, Canute, OK; son, Charles McLaughlin and wife Marva, Bastrop, TX; four sisters, Nita Bowling, San Diego, CA, June Langley and husband, (Duane), Moore, OK, Jeannette Steverson, OKC, OK and Patricia Sodders and husband, (Phil), Hydro; two brothers, Ed McLaughlin, Warner, OK and Don McLaughlin, Anadarko. He is also survived by three grandchildren, Sam E. Thomas, Cindy Gerhardt and Doug Ambeau, six great-grand children and two great-great-grandchildren
