Funeral Services for Lorena Francis 88, Cordell resident will be held 1:00 P.M., Thursday, January 2, 2020 in the Peace Lutheran Church, officiated by Pastor Jerry Lamb. Burial will conclude in the Peace Lutheran Cemetery under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home. Lorena B. Francis was born May 25, 1931 to Otto G. and Lenora (Klein) Sperle in Bessie, Oklahoma and passed away Saturday December 28, 2019 in the St. Anthony’s Hospital in Oklahoma City, OK. Lorena was raised in the Sunset area (near Leedey) and the Bessie area. She attended Braithwaite School thru the 8th grade and later got her GED from Burns Flat, Technical School. She was married to Bob Francis in March of 1953 in Wheeler, TX. She worked mostly in the Cordell area, working for Jacks Flowers and Gifts, the Loftonian, Propps Laundry, the Red Barn and retired from Robertson’s Drapery Factory. She was a member of the Peace Lutheran Church; the Tabitha Circle where she served as secretary; Clinton Senior Citizens and she was well known for her cake making and decorating. She was preceded in death by her parents, niece, Diana Turinetti and nephew Johnny Lau and a brother in law, Donald Lau. She is survived by two sisters, Juanita Lau, Cordell, OK, and Dorothy Hoffman and husband, Rex, Custer City, OK and two brothers Eddie Sperle and wife Janis, Bethany, OK and Marvin Sperle and wife Carol, Cordell, OK and several nieces and nephews. She is also survived by a special friend Alma Anthony, Cordell and her AARP family, her church family and many other friends.
