Lorene Flaming

A Memorial for Lorene Flaming, 84, of Clinton will be held 11:00 A.M., Friday, July 5, 2013 in the First Christian Church, officiated by Doyle Kinney, and under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home. Lorene Faye (Reimer) Flaming was born November 8, 1928 to George W. and Clara (Isaac) Reimer in Corn, Oklahoma and passed away Saturday, June 29, 2013 in her Clinton home following a long illness. Lorene was raised in the Corn and Clinton areas. She attended the Neesely Country School for her elementary grades and then attended Clinton High School where graduated in 1946. She continued her education at the Corn Bible Academy. She was married to Vernon Flaming on August 12, 1947 in Corn, Oklahoma. They made their home in Corn, Clinton, Minneapolis, MN, Oklahoma City, Liberal, KS and then settled back in Clinton in 1979. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, infant Homer, Norman and Bert. She was an active, and faithful member of the First Christian Church, she enjoyed collecting coins, leather craft, horseback riding, playing golf, water skiing and she enjoyed playing her guitar. Those left to remember her, husband,Vernon, of the home, two daughters, Gale Misner, Clinton, Laurel Howard and husband, Vern Dub, of Paint Creek, TX, a son, Dwayne Flaming and wife, Sharon, Durango, CO; two sisters, Phyllis Sawatzky and husband, Dick, Wanda Goossen and husband Bob,and a sister in law, Johnetta Reimer, all of Clinton. Also, six grandchildren, Zachary Flaming, Durango, CO, Chelsea Flaming, San Diego, CA, Toby Howard and wife, Carolina, Abilene, TX, Rodney Tsoodle and wife, Leah, Clay Center, KS, Cindy Howard, Atlanta, GA and Capella Krewson and husband, Gary, Aubrey, TX
