A Chapel Service for Rena Goldsborough, 89, Clinton resident will be held 2:00 P.m., Monday, August 19, 2013 in the Kiesau Memorial Chapel officiated by Ryan Driskill and burial will follow in the Lawn view Cemetery in Cordell, OK under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home. Lorene "Rena" Goldsboro was born March 2, 1914 to John and Nellie (Jackson) Magers in Washita, County and passed away Tuesday August 13, 2013 in the Ranchwood Nursing Home in Yukon, OK. She was the youngest of five children and grew up in the Cordell and Port, Oklahoma area, she met Navy Seaman Harrison K. "Goldie" Goldsborough during WWII, who was stationed at Clinton Sherman. They marriedon October 22, 1945. They made their first home in Wichita, Kansas and settled back in Clinton, OK in 1960. She worked at the Clinton Monument Company and she and Goldie were the official Clinton weatherobservers for several years. He preceded her in death in 1996. She was a member of the Broadway Heights Baptist Church, she enjoyed working in her flowers and in her yard. She is also preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Wade and Mack Magers, two sisters, Jewel Dobbins and Edith Hall, two nephews Johnnie Hall and Lewis Magers and a niece Betty Hall. She is survived by three nephews, Jack Magers, Steve Magers and B.H. Dobbins and six nieces, Kathryn Bruce, Madeline Davis, Barbara Kaye Harvey, Marolyn Largent, Jan Huggins and Vickie Henshew as well as numerous great and great-great- nieces and nephews. Many people remarked that she was the sweetest lady they ever met. Rena, you are sorely missed!
