Funeral Service for Lucille Beech, 101 Cordell resident, will be held 10:00 A.M., Saturday, November 18, 2017, in the First United Methodist Church in Cordell, officiated by Dr. Marvin Hudson. Burial will follow in the Lawnview Cemetery in Cordell. Lucille Leran Beech was born December 23, 1915 in Texas to Ora and Frankie (Brown) Phillips and passed away on Wednesday, November 15, 2017 in Cordell, Oklahoma. Lucille was raised in Texas and attended school there. She moved to Cordell, Oklahoma in 1928, where she and her family farmed. Lucille married Lovell Beech in 1935 in Cordell, where they farmed and she worked with her husband as well as taking care of the hired hands by cooking and making sure they were fed. She worked for Robertson's Factory and the Booster Bag's and later she worked in Nursing Homes as a Dietitian. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Cordell; she was an avid reader, she loved to sew, cook and garden. Lucille enjoyed sewing, gardening, and she was avid reader. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sisters, Emmalene Harris and Peggy Issacson; brothers, Willie Phillips, J.C. Phillips, Leon Phillips, Buck Phillips, and Jr. Phillips. Lucille is survived by her sons, Jerry Beech, Cordell, and Johnny Beech and wife Judy, Edmond, also survived by her grandchildren Whittney Hood and husband Josh, Edmond, and Jordan Beech and wife Kimberly, Shawnee.
