A memorial service for Lynnell Powers (Rouse) Brehm, 68, of Burns Flat, OK, will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 12, 2013, in the Baptist Church of Dill City, OK, with Rev. Ron Roskem officiating. A private burial will conclude in the North Burns Cemetery under the direction of the Stanley-Lee Funeral Home. Lynnell Powers was born April 29, 1945, in Canute, OK, to Wallace and Nina (Cutright) Powers, and passed away Friday, June 7, 2013, in the Weatherford Hospital as the result of a car accident. Lynnell grew up in the Dill City area, and graduated from Dill City High School in 1963. She continued her education at SWOSU where she earned her degree in Elementary Education. She taught at Burns Flat schools for 25 years. She was currently working as a teacher for Elk City Regional Adult Learning Center. In her spare time she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, fishing, and gardening. On April 20, 1962 she married W. T. Rouse, and to this union 3 children were born. W. T. preceded her in death several years ago. On May 25, 2002 she married Jerry Lee Brehm in Elk City, Ok, and they made their home in Burns Flat. Lynnell was preceded in death by her parents, 3 sisters: Lanorda Moore, Ronda Clayton, Karen Feltman, and her first husband William Rouse. She is survived by her husband Jerry of the home, 2 daughters Tawnya Rouse, of Burns Flat/Canute, Tammy Phillips of Weatherford, her son Todd Rouse of Washita County, 4 sisters: Sue Britton of Weatherford, Sharon Martin of Granite, Lavonna Kopf of Norman, and Brenda Gessendaner of Catoosa, step daughter Carrie Miller and husband Curtis of Pottsboro, Texas, step son Rodney Brehm, and wife Chrystal of Tuttle, 14 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren.
