Mable "Carol" Duncan

Mable Carol Duncan, 80, Clinton resident passed away, Monday, December 18, 2023, in the Mercy Hospital in Oklahoma City, OK. She was born August 8, 1943, to Donald Duncan and Henrietta (Dunaway) Duncan in Cordell, OK.

There will be a viewing only Friday, December 22, 2023, in the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home. Her wishes were to be cremated and buried next to her parents in the Lawnview Cemetery in Cordell, OK.

Carol was raised in Clinton, OK and graduated from Clinton High School in 1962. She worked for several years for the 3M Plant in Weatherford until its closing.

She was inducted into the Route 66 Hall of Fame in 2012, for her many hours of volunteering and research that she contributed to the Route 66 Association. She is also a member of the Custer County Historical Society and Genealogical Society. In her younger years she enjoyed bowling in bowling leagues. Through the years she had dogs and cats which she loved.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by sister, Donna Sue Gorshing and husband, Larry and nephew, Lee Gorshing and a great-niece, Kaler Gorshing and great nephew Jacob Gorshing.
