Funeral Services for Malinda Buffing, 82, Bessie resident and local educator will be held 10:00 A.M., Thursday, February 21, 2013 in the Peace Lutheran Church in Bessie, OK, officiated by Pastor Rob Spicer and burial will conclude in the Peace Lutheran Cemetery under the direction of Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home. Malinda Lou (Weber) Buffing was born December 20, 1930 to Walter and Tillie (Bredy) Weber in Cordell, OK and passed away Monday, February 18, 2013 in her rural Bessie home. Mrs. Buffing was raised in Bessie and graduated from Cordell High School in 1948. She continued her education at West Texas State University in Canyon, TX and graduated with her teaching degree in 1952. She was married to her grade school sweetheart Mr. Lee Roy Buffing on May 20, 1956 in Clinton and they made their home in Bessie. She taught grade school at Lake Valley, Taloga, Arapaho and Cordell retiring in 1995. However she continued as a substitute teacher in several of the local schools. She also farmed and raised cattle with her husband. Mr. Buffing preceded her in death in 2012; she was also preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Glowrine Weber and Dolores Parsons. She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Clinton. She is survived by her daughter, Lisa Holman and husband, Scott, Clinton and a son, Bret Buffing, Bessie. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Alix Buffing, Bridge Buffing, Derrek Scott and Makayla Scott.
