Funeral Services for Margaret Pauline Ashby, 98, of Oklahoma City, have been set for 11:00 A.M. Thursday, February 11, 2016, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Clinton, with Father Thomas Pudoka officiating, and under the direction of Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Clinton Cemetery. Margaret was born December 29, 1917, in Burkburnett TX., to Matthew N. and Anna Lourena (Arington) Ruyle, and went to be with her Lord Sunday, February 7, 2016, in Oklahoma City. Margaret was raised in Clinton, and graduated from Clinton High School. During the war she worked at the phone company, and was a nurses aide at the old Clinton Hospital. Later she met her husband James Orbie Ashby in Arapaho. They were married in Clinton on November 26, 1945 and resided in Oklahoma City where she enjoyed being a homemaker and mother of 3 children. She was a devout Catholic, a member of Sacred Heart Parish and enjoyed attending Mass daily. She took care of her mother and later her sister in a nursing home for many years. She loved to volunteer when she could, to garden and be with family. She was preceded in death by both parents, her husband, 2 sisters, Agnes Stehr, and Mary Lee Nichols, 5 brothers, William Bruce Ruyle, Matthew Glen Ruyle, Edward Leander Ruyle, Richard Kimbrough Ruyle, and Robert Reeves Ruyle, and one granddaughter Monica Rider. She is survived by 2 sons Mike Ashby, and his wife Carole, of Oklahoma City, Patrick Ashby and his wife Cathie, of Edmond and 1 daughter Ramona Ann Rider, of Ft. Worth, TX. She was blessed with 5 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
