Marie Haggard

A Graveside service for Marie Haggard, 90, Clinton resident will be held 1:00 P.M., Thursday, January 11, 2018 in the Arapaho Cemetery, officiated by Pastor Buck Nicholson and the burial is under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home. Eva Marie Haggard was born January 4, 1928 to Joseph Patrick Madden and Cora Lee (Gilliam) Madden in Duke, Oklahoma and passed away Tuesday, January 9, 2018 in the Clinton Therapy Center (the former Methodist Health Care Center) in Clinton, Oklahoma. Marie was raised in Butler and Clinton and graduated from Clinton High School. She was married to Buford Dale Haggard on May 16, 1950 in Clinton. The Haggard's made Clinton their home and Mr. Haggard preceded her in death on June 16, 2010. She was a member of the Stafford Baptist Church and her hobbies were crocheting dolls, gardening, and computer work and cooking. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dale, her parents and her siblings. She is survived by two sons, Clifford Dale Haggard, Weatherford and Michael R. Haggard, Sayre. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. The family has requested those wanting to give memorial contributions may do so to the Stafford Baptist Church, P.O. Box 244, Clinton, OK 73601.
