Graveside services for Marjorie Reimer, age 94, will be held 11:00 AM, Friday, November 3, 2023, in the Corn Mennonite Brethren Cemetery, Officiated by family.

Marjorie Reimer went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, October 26, 2023, at River Valley Skilled Nursing and Therapy. She was born on July 31, 1929, near Colony, the third of three daughters born to Fred and Millie Moritz. She was baptized in a pond north of Corn and attended a one room school, Pioneer School, by Colony, then graduated from Corn Bible Academy in 1947.

Marjorie was married to her high school sweetheart and love of her life, Verno Reimer, on December 7, 1947. She and her husband farmed together for over 50 years west of Corn. She loved working alongside him and being with him. She chopped and pulled cotton, drove tractor, and drove truck in wheat harvest. She liked working outside more than in the house. They raised their three children, Vernie, Lucille, and Delmer on the farm, and they all worked together as a family. After 59 years of marriage, Verno passed away January 17, 2007.

Marjorie taught Sunday School at the Corn Mennonite Brethren Church for many years. She also faithfully helped at church and at Corn Bible Academy. She read her Bible and prayed for her family daily.

Marjorie loved the Lord and her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchild. She loved it when her great grandchildren just called her “great.” She enjoyed playing games with them.

Marjorie loved animals. She had pet squirrels, rabbits, and raccoons, along with dogs and cats. The pet baby skunk wasn't kept very long.
