Funeral Services for Mark D. Thomas, 61, Clinton resident will held 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, January 4, 2017 in the Kiesau Memorial Chapel officiated by Doyle Kinney and Vann Leonard. Burial will follow in the Chapel Hill Cemetery under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home. Mark Duane Thomas was born June 6, 1955 to Virgil and LaVerne (Snider) Thomas in Fort Riley, KS and passed away Friday, December 30, 2016 in his Clinton home. Mark's father was a career military man and they made their homes in Ft. Riley, KS, Ft. Leonardwood, MO, Ft. Hill VA, Germany, Arkansas and then settled in Clinton, OK in 1971. Mark attended Clinton High School and graduated in 1974. He started his work career in the oilfields, he did paint and body works and had worked for D&D Auto Salvage for several years and also Freightliner. He enjoyed playing pool, playing cards, and fishing and loved the Car Races. He is survived by his parents, Virgil and LaVerne Thomas, of Clinton; daughter Courtney Roque-Thomas, of Clinton; three sons, Lawrence Southerland and wife, Allison, Arapaho, Layton Oldham-Thomas, Tulsa, OK and Matthew Thomas and wife, Amanda, Clinton; sister Sharon (Thomas) Duvall and husband, Brett, Clinton and brother, Stacy Thomas , Clinton. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, Johnney Southerland, Dakota Southerland, Andrew Roque, Elijah Roque, Gabriel Roque, Audryanna Hicks, Derrick Stevens, Oliver Thomas Addeline Thomas, Kallie Holt and Kimbre Holt; and host of other relatives.
