Martha Borchers

Martha Borchers, 92, of Big Spring, TX, formerly of Clinton, passed away Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at her residence. Graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, April 11, 2015 at Clinton Cemetery in Clinton, Oklahoma under the direction of Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home. She was born December 21, 1922 in Corn, Oklahoma to Helen (Wiebe) and Peter J. Flaming. She married Carl Borcher on March 8, 1943 in Hobart, Oklahoma. She and her husband farmed in the Rocky and Bessie area for most of their lives they also did custom combining from 1952 until 1970. She moved to Big Spring in 2005 from Cordell, Oklahoma. She loved flowers and she was a Baptist. She is survived by two daughters: Beverly Sasseen and husband Euell, of Foss, Oklahoma and Charlotte Shelton of Big Spring; four brothers: Harvey Flaming and wife Doris of Yukon, OK, Jay Flaming and wife Virginia of Weatherford, OK, Jerry Flaming and wife Norma of Prague, OK and Larry Flaming of Arizona; five grandchildren: Christine Calvert of Clinton, OK, Edward Sasseen of Bentonville, AK, Joan McNeil of Weatherford, OK, Melissa Gibson of Navarre, FL and Laurel Voight of Big Spring and 12 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband; three sisters: Goldie Neufield, Bertha McCain and Lou Ella Morrison; three brothers: Virgil Flaming, Orville Flaming and Marvin Flaming and a son-in-law Dr. James Shelton.
