Tim Sandy and burial will conclude in the Corn Mennonite Cemetery under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home. Martha K. Reimer was born June 16, 1922 southwest of Corn to Edward and Augusta (Wedel) Krewall. Martha was the 13th child in the family of 14. She attended all 12 years in Corn and was the only child in the family that graduated from high school, one of Martha's proud moments. Another proud moment was when she married John A. Reimer on January 11, 1942 in Hobart, OK. They had to stay with John's parents, Abe and Lizzie (Leppke) Reimer, for 2 weeks while he completed their new house on their farm southeast of Corn. She lived with John on that farm for over 60 years. Awhile after John died, she went to live inthe Corn Heritage Village, where she passed away in her sleep on March 19, 2014. Martha and John had 2 children, Gary and Sherry. While their children grew up on the farm Martha was a devoted mother and tireless farmwife. She cooked many a meal that could be served 30 minutes early or 2 hours late from the home or out in the field. She also worked at a variety of jobs around town. One year she helped make boomerangs, another year she worked for Paul and Melba Friesen in the hardware store and also helped out in Tina's Café. This would all take place while keeping up with her 2 children with their school activities and her farm chores. Martha enjoyed quilting while talking in German with her sisters and then later in life going shopping and eating lunch with them. At one time 6 of the sisters lived within 20 miles of each other. Martha crocheted many a mile of thread around the edges of the tea towels she embroidered. In November Martha and John would leave their farm work to Gary so they could go fishing in Rockport, TX. They got to do this for 31 years. They enjoyed this time of fishing and playing cards with their good friends Bede and Herb Hoock, Louise and Ed Suderman and Elsie and HerbRatzlaff. Many a fish was caught and many a story has been told. Martha leaves behind her youngest sister, Elsie Penner of Oklahoma City, OK; son Gary Reimer and wife Judy of Corn, daughter Sherry Bostian and husband Ron of Perkins, OK; four grandchildren, Marni Reimer of Oklahoma City, OK, Nichole Trantham and husband Kevin of Tulsa, OK, Lance Reimer of Corn, Traci Rowland and husband Matt of O'Fallon, MO; six great-grandchildren, Chase DallaRosa, Savanna Reimer, Olivia and Tristen Reimer, Lauren and Devlin Rowland; one sister-in-law, Lucille (Reimer) Richert of Exeter, CA and many nieces, nephews and friends of all ages. Martha was preceded in death by her husband John of sixty-one years; her 3 brothers Walter, Edward and Harry Krewall and their wives; her 9 sisters Olga Schmidt, Augusta Klaassen, Lydia Krewall, Frieda Schmidt, Gertrude Penner, Pauline Krewall, Della Ratzlaff, Minnie Flaming, Tillie Unger and their husbands; her sister-in-law Velina and husband E.L. ‘Penny' Engel; and her brother-in-law Abe Richert.
