Funeral Services for Marva Dupree, 76, Butler resident will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday, December 8, 2017 in the Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Clinton, officiated by Rev. Dale Nease. Burial will conclude in the Butler Cemetery in Butler, OK, under the direction of Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home. Marva Jean Dupree was born on March 18, 1941 to Curtis Leon and Loretta (Sharp) Walker in Clinton, Oklahoma, and passed away on Tuesday, December 5, 2017 in Clinton. Marva was born in Clinton and raised on the family farm North of Butler, attending Butler Schools graduating in 1959. She married Darrell Dupree on July 10, 1958, in Sayre, Oklahoma, making their home in Butler for a short time before moving to the family farm. Marva owned her own beauty shop working as a hair stylist for many years, and worked for the City of Butler as the Town Clerk. She was a long time active member of the Butler First Baptist Church. She learned her love for cooking and sewing at the family farm, also she enjoyed browsing Face book, and spending time with her family. The family as a whole enjoyed spending vacation time in Red River, New Mexico. She was a member of the 20th Century Club, and a Board Member of the 1st Annual Christmas in July at Foss, Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister in law, Nelta Fern Evans; and one brother in law, James Dupree. Marva is survived by her husband, Darrell, of the home; one daughter, Darla Kinney and husband Rod of Clinton; three sons, Randy Dupree and wife Vicki of Elk City, Danny Dupree and wife Canda of Clinton, and Ronnie Dupree and wife Teresa of Clinton; one brother, Curtis Walker and wife Judy of Butler; brother in law, Stanley Evans of Enid, OK. She also leaves behind 10 grandchildren that gave her special joy, Misti and Joe Davis of Tulsa, Darren and Sumer Dupree of Elk City, Monte and Angela Dupree of Butler, Devon and Meri Dupree of Butler, Addison Dupree of Edmond, Austin Dupree of Stillwater, Walker and Kara Dupree of Weatherford, Warren and Jenna Dupree of Porter, Kaitlyn and Logan Watkins of Cashion, and Lane Kinney of Clinton; and 10 great grandchildren. Marva also has a host of nieces and nephews, along with a special friend Roxy Ray, Butler. The family request that if you wish to make a memorial contribution, please do so at Butler Volunteer Fire Department or Butler Ambulance Service in Marva Dupree's name.
