Marvella Shepherd

Funeral Services for Marvella Shepherd, 84, former Custer County resident will be held 10:00 A.M., Friday, June 21, 2019 in the Kiesau Memorial Chapel and Burial will conclude in the Arapaho Cemetery under the direction of the Kiesau Lee Funeral Home. Marvella Fredona Shepherd was born November 14, 1934 to Benjamin H. Shepherd and Mary Jane (Collins) Shepherd in Arapaho, Oklahoma and passed away Friday, June 14, 2019 in Duncan, Oklahoma. Marvella was raised in Arapaho and graduated from Arapaho High School in 1952. She married John Earl Mosburg that same year in Arapaho. She later graduated from Southwestern State College in Weatherford, OK with a bachelor's degree in accounting. She also achieved her Certified Public Accountant licensed by the state of Oklahoma. She worked for various oil companies in Oklahoma City and started her own accounting practice in 1978. She was a member of the Methodist Church, was well known for being very organized and giving; she enjoyed any kind of math, finance, computers, traveling, and she loved to sing and play the piano, doing water aerobics and playing with her grandson. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Mary and Benjamin Shepherd, and by her brothers Winford Shepherd and Clifton Shepherd. Marvella is survived by her children, Ken Mosburg, Marla Ridley and husband Brook Ridley; grandchild Blake Ridley; many nieces and nephews; and friends.
