Funeral Services for Marvin L. Cabaniss, 72, Clinton resident will be held 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, October 2, 2019 in the First Mennonite Church, officiated by Pastor Daniel Mosburg. Burial will follow in the Cabaniss Family Cemetery North of Clinton under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home. Marvin Lyle Cabaniss was born October 1, 2019 to Doyle and Frances (Bredy) Cabaniss in Clinton, Oklahoma and passed away Friday, September 27, 2019 in his Clinton home. Marvin was raised in Clinton and graduated from Clinton High School in 1964. He married Jacqueline Louise Davis in 1973 and they made their home in Oklahoma City. In 1979 he was married to Carolyn Carr and she preceded him in death. He returned to Clinton and worked in the oilfields as a Mud Engineer. He worked in his family's business, Cabaninss Nursery; he drove a truck, operated the Clinton Bowling Alley and most recently worked for Atwoods and NAPA Auto parts. He was later married to Diane Hill in 1976 and he married Patricia Stone on March 31, 2001 in Enid, Oklahoma. They made their home in Clinton since that time. He was a member of the First Mennonite Church, he enjoyed bowling, collecting guns and messing with old vehicles. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Carolyn, his parents, two brothers, Winston and Howard and a son, Donald Wayne Carr-Cabaniss. He is survived by his wife, Pat, of the home, his children, Jill Christy, Jacqueline Carr, Woodward, OK, Sarah Hill and Rhett Hill, both of Clinton, and Dion Dixon, Enid, OK, Ted Krey, and wife, Maria, Yukon, OK and Angela Riddle and husband, Marc, of South Carolina and numerous grandchildren. He is also survived by two sisters, Bonnie Cabaniss-Geswender, Austin, TX and Sherry Bieberich and husband, Steve, of Clinton, OK and a brother, Willard Cabaniss, Clinton. The family has suggested those wanting to make memorial contributions may do so to the First Mennonite Church in Clinton.
