Funeral Services for Mary Jo Stewart, 88, Clinton resident will be held 10: 00 A.M., Thursday, July 27, 2017, in the Kiesau Memorial Chapel, officiated by Daniel Mosburg. Burial will conclude in the Chapel Hill Cemetery, under the direction of Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home. Mary Jo Stewart was born on March 4, 1929, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Howard T. and Edna (May) Manion, and passed away on Sunday, July 23, 2017, in the Grace Living Center, Clinton. Mary Jo lived in Oklahoma City until she was a junior in high school, moving to Clinton in 1945 and graduating from Clinton High School in 1947. Mary Jo married the love of her life J.W. Stewart on June 1, 1947. In 1948, they welcomed a son James Howard Stewart and in 1969, they had a daughter Paula Lynn. She worked at the Clinton Laundry & Cleaners, then First National Bank & Trust. They also had a Grade A Holstein Dairy for several years, until their retirement in 1982. After retirement Mary Jo and J.W. traveled the United States in their motor homes. She enjoyed playing cards with friends and family, watching her soaps "The Young and the Restless" and "The Bold and The Beautiful". She also watched every Oklahoma Thunder Basketball game, and playing on her I-Pad. Mary Jo was preceded in death by her parents, her husband J.W., daughter in law Lynne Stewart, and a step great grandson Evan Crawford. She is survived by her son James Stewart, Oklahoma City, her daughter and son in law Paula Sawatzky and Lawrence, Clinton, two granddaughters Emily Crawford and husband Cameron, Oklahoma City, Stacie Nickel and husband Gene, Clinton, one grandson Steven Sawatzky, Clinton, also a step great-granddaughter Ashton Crawford, Moore.
