Funeral Services for Mary Lou Garner, 101, Clinton resident will be held 1:00 P.M., Monday, June 17, 2019 in the Bethany Baptist Church, officiated by Rev. Billy Mucker. Burial will conclude in the Clinton Cemetery under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home. Mary Lou (Johnson) Garner was born March 1, 1918 in Texas to Willie E. and Georgia (Washington) Johnson and passed away Tuesday, June 11, 2019 in the Clinton Therapy Center. Mary Lou came to Clinton, Oklahoma when she was six years old; she attended Excelsior School and graduated in 1935. She was married to Henry Garner and she worked as a nurse's aid at the Oklahoma General Hospital and the Tuberculosis Sanatorium. She was a member of the Bethany Baptist Church; she loved going to garage sales and collecting a little of everything; she loved to sew and cook. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry, two sons, Tony Kemp and Michael Earl Ford and brother Bobby Johnson. She is survived by daughters Terri Kemp and Josephine Oliver, both of Clinton and five grandchildren, Michael Ford, Andre Ford and wife, Erica Miles, Evetta Hinds Barker and husband, Christian, Davetta Hinds and Biller Oliver, and numerous great-grandchildren, all of Clinton.
