Mary Phillips

A Private burial for Mary Leata Phillips, 87, lifelong Arapaho resident will be held in the Arapaho Cemetery under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home. Mary Leata (Meredith) Phillips was born June 27, 1933 in Arapaho, OK. She was raised in Arapaho where she graduated from school in 1951. She married Hot Phillips, Sr. January 21, 1951 in Arapaho. They made Arapaho their home where they raised their three children. She was an active member of the First Christian Church in Arapaho for several years and then attended Clinton’s First Christian Church. She enjoyed working in her flowers, sewing and playing the piano. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, Hoyt. She is survived by two daughters, Brenda Miller and husband, (Larry), Ansonia, OH and Linda Hardin and husband, Lee, of Texas; son, Hoyt “Clutch” Philips, Jr., and wife, Sue, Arapaho, OK . She is also survived by nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. By her request there will be no viewing or formal funeral service.
