Mary Villarreal-Paciorek

April 7, 1925 — July 23, 2023

Mary Villarreal-Paciorek was born on April 7, 1925 in Parkersburg, OK and passed on July 23, 2023, age 98. She was born to immigrants Juan and Pascuala Villarreal after arriving from Monterrey, Mexico.


Mary attended Clinton Schools, graduating in 1943. She married her husband, Stan, on January 26, 1944. One year later, Stan was transferred to the AF Base in Norfolk, VA. Mary followed by train three months later. Within the same year, Stan was shipped to various locations so Mary returned to Clinton where their first child was born in July 1945. Following Stan’s honorable discharge, a year later, he moved his family to his home town of Clio, MI where their second child was born. Two years later, the four returned to settle in Clinton where they lived the remainder of their years. Mary received her Bachelor’s Degree from SWOSU in 1975 at age 50. She taught 12 years in the elementary and secondary schools in Custer City, OK and retired in 1990 at the age of 65. During this time, she also taught ESL (English as a second language) to Hispanics for 8 years. She and Stan reared their six children in Clinton, OK.


Mary was a member of St. Mary’s Alter Society, the Clinton Bridge Club and was a lifetime member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Clinton, OK. After Stan’s retirement from Southwestern Bell Telephone, 1990, they began traveling to many sites around the continent. In the last several years of Stan’s life, they called Harlingen, TX their winter home where they made many close friends until his death in 2009.


Mary is proceeded in death by her husband of 65 years Stan Paciorek, eldest daughter Roseanne Engel, son-in-law Gerald Engel, grandson Shawn Engel, her parents, six of her seven siblings and nephew Jim Villarreal.

She is survived by children Dianne McKinney and husband Cecil of Clinton, OK, Mike Paciorek and wife Suzzy of Allen, OK, Joanne Wright and husband Marc of Piedmont, OK, Stanley W Paciorek of Elk City and Marianne Roberson and husband Jeff of Clarendon, TX, 10 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, brother Joe Villarreal and Cathy of Hollister, CA and numerous nieces and nephews.


Arrangements for a private burial were under the direction of Keisau-Lee Funeral Home in Clinton. She was laid at rest beside her husband in Clinton Cemetery.
