Funeral Services for Max Martinez, Sr., 75, will be held Wednesday, December 8, 2021 at 1:00 P.M. in the Kiesau Memorial Chapel officiated by Rev. Jessie Musick. Burial will follow in the Clinton Cemetery under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home. Max Reyes Martinez was born May 11, 1946 to Cornelio Soto Martinez and Maria (Reyes) Martinez in La Feria, TX and passed away Wednesday, December 1, 2021 in the Clinton Alliance Health in Clinton, OK. Max was raised and attended school in Abernathy, TX. He has lived most of his life in Texas and worked at the Lee’s Sausage Plant in Abernathy, TX. He later worked for the Jimmy Dean Plant in Plainview, TX and the Excel Beef Company in Plainview, TX. He moved to Clinton, Oklahoma in 1979 and was employed by the Milchem Company working in concrete. He was married to Aurelia Flores in 1979 in Clinton, OK. He enjoyed watching sports and especially football games, watching games show “The Price Is Right” and old Westerns. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Margie Broaden; brothers, Jesse Martinez and Manuel Martinez, grandson; Kyle Gonzalez and step-son, Danny Flores. He is survived by son, Max Martinez, Jr., Clinton, three daughters, Jeneva Everett and husband, Joe, Blanchard, OK, Cynthia Rivera and husband, David, Defiance, Iowa and Jamie Williams and husband, Chris, Clinton, OK; sister, Mary Lou Rodriguez and husband, Rufus, six brothers, Ramiro Martinez, Rudy Martinez, David Martinez, Tony Martinez, Ricky Martinez and Roy Martinez, all of Lubbock, TX . He is also survived by seven grandsons, Daniel Williams, Jr., of TX, Christopher Williams and wife, Brittany, of CA, Samuel Rivera, of Iowa, Ryan Williams and wife, Diana, Edmond, OK, Brandon Izaguirre, Clinton, Eric Rivera, Iowa and Hayden Williams, of MO; three granddaughters, Marissa Venecia and husband, Miguel, Lawton, OK, Stephanie Mata, Lubbock, TX and Karley Martinez, Clinton, OK; five great grandsons and four great granddaughters.
