Melvin Dudley James

Graveside services for Melvin James will be held 10:00 AM Friday June 24, 2022, at the Butler Cemetery officiated by Doyle Kenney and under the direction of Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home. Melvin Dudley James was born September 20, 1944, to Albert and Nettie James in Clinton, Oklahoma. Melvin grew up in Butler Oklahoma and lived with his parents until they passed. He had one brother and one sister. Melvin lived at the Weatherford Group home from 1988 to 2007, when he moved to Lawton Oklahoma to reside in the Community Access agency. Melvin was known to all as a gentle soul who enjoyed country music and western movies. He watched the news faithfully. It was important to him to be as independent as possible even as he aged, and activities became more difficult. He was a quiet man who always had a smile when you visited with him.
