Graveside Services for Michael Perkins, 72, Clinton resident will be held 1:00 P.M., Friday, January 29, 2021 in the Pavilion of the Clinton Cemetery, officiated by Pastor Gary Jones. Burial is under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home. Visitation will be held 8:00 A.M. till 8:00 P.M., Thursday, January 28, 2021 Michael Shannon Perkins was born May 4, 1948 in Paintsville, Kentucky to Calvin Perkins and Jean (McClure) Perkins and passed away January 23, 2021 in his Clinton home. Michael was raised in Louisville, Kentucky where he graduated from High School in 1967. He soon joined the United States Air Force and served in Germany, England and many stateside locations. He retired after 21 years of service. He married Jolene Vandiver on March 3, 1979 in Clovis, NM. They moved to Clinton in 2005 and worked for the Clinton Veterans Center in the Maintenance Department. He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Teresa Swaim and son Darrel Jaquess. He is an active and faithful member of the New Hope Fellowship Church; he enjoyed watching television and especially old westerns. He is survived by wife, Jolene, of the home, son, Russ Perkins and wife, Sahra , of Colorado and sister Silvia Perkins, of Kentucky and brother, James Calvin Perkins and wife, Kelly, of Colorado. He is also survived by five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
