Funeral Services for Michael W. Howard, 57, former Cordell resident will be held 2:30 P.M., Friday, February 21, 2014 in the Peace Lutheran Church in Bessie, OK, officiated by Pastor Rob Spicer and burial will follow in the Peace Lutheran Cemetery under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home. Michael Wayne Howard was born December 13, 1956 to Don and Edna (Reinschmiedt) in Sentinel, Oklahoma and passed away Tuesday, February 18, 2014 in his Barnett, MO home. Mike was raised in Cordell, OK and graduated from Cordell High School in 1975. He continued his education at Oklahoma State University working on a degree in Biology. He returned back to Oklahoma and worked with his father in the Chevrolet Dealership in Cordell. He also worked in Law enforcement and served on the Cordell Police Department as well as working for an auto body shop. In 2000 he moved to Missouri and was employed with the Morgan County Sheriff Department as Deputy Sheriff and Jailer. He retired in 2013. He was married to Barbara Jean Hendricks on March 3, 2013 in Morgan County, MO and they had made their home in Barnett, MO. He was preceded in death by his mother, Edna. He is survived by his father, Don Howard, of Cordell, OK and his wife, Barbara of the home, a son Justin Howard and wife, Natalie, of Tulsa, OK, a brother, Keith Howard, Palm Springs, CA, two grandchildren, Aiden and Noah Howard, both of Tulsa. He is also survived by three step daughters, Patricia Roe, Carla Arnold and Tracy Luttrell, all of MO.
