Graveside Services for Michael Wayne Wabaunasee, Jr., 66, Oklahoma City, OK resident will be held 9:00 A.M., Thursday, December 31,2020 in the Clinton Indian Cemetery officiated by Pastor Gerald Panana and under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home. The family will be greeting guest for an all-night wake service starting at 7:00 P.M. Wednesday, December 30, 2020 in the Clinton Indian Baptist Church. Michael Wayne Wabaunasee, Jr. was born September 18, 1954 to Michael Wayne Wabaunasee, Sr. and Rose Edith Mitchell Wabaunasee in Chicago, IL and passed away Saturday, December 26, 2020 in Oklahoma City, OK. Michael was raised in Tama, Iowa and he attended Flandreau Boarding School in South Dakota. He was a self taught heat and air man and was considered a jack of all trades, could do about anything. He came to Oklahoma in the late 1970’s and settled in OKC, OK. He was married to Mary Martha Fletcher OldBear in 1995. He enjoyed drawing, listening to music and watching boxing on television. He is preceded in death by his parents, and his wife, two sisters, Mercedes and Matilda and a brother, Johnny. He is survived by granddaughter, Christina Wabaunasee and her daughter Mary Rose Pauline Wabaunasee, of Oklahoma City, OK; three sisters, Melissa Wabaunasee, Melanie Wabaunasee, both of Tama,Iowa; and Melita Butler of Shawnee, Oklahoma; Six brothers, Mareno Wabaunasee, Maurice Wabaunasee and Rossano Wabaunasee, all of Tama, Iowa., Oscar Wanatee of Oklahoma City, Ok, Johannes Wanatee Sr. of Tama, Iowa, Michael Wanatee Jr. of Tama, Iowa. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
