Miguel Torres

A Mass of Christian Burial for Miguel Torres, 90, Clinton resident will be held 10:00 A.M., Thursday, January 19, 2023, in the St. Marys’ Catholic Church, officiated by Father Balaswamy Mandagiri. Burial will conclude in the Clinton Cemetery under the direction of the Kiesau Lee funeral Home.

A Rosary will be held 6:00 P.M., Wednesday, January 18, 2023, in the Kiesau Memorial Chapel.

Miguel Torres-Cabada was born March 3, 1932, to Aurelio Torres and Aurora Cabada in Durango, Mexico and passed away Sunday, January 15, 2023, in the River Valley Nursing Center in Clinton, OK.

Miguel was raised in Mexico where he also attended school. He was able to go back and forth from Mexico to the United States to work starting at the age of 14. He has worked in several states including California, Kansas and he settled in Clinton, OK in 1990. He was employed with the Chicken Factory in Cordell, Kellwood’s Factory and he retired from Bar-S Foods when he was 75.

He married Elisa Najera Cardenas in 1962.

He is a member of the St. Mary’s Catholic Church, and he loved his church and the church family, he loved the outdoors, doing yard work, and most of all spending time with his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Ramiro Torres and daughter, Genoveva Torres and a brother, Manuel Torres, three sisters, Eloisa, Sofia and Teresa.

He is survived by his wife, Elisa Najera Cardenas, of the home, his children, Jesus Torres and wife, Sonia, Carlos Torres and wife, Consuelo, Rogelio Torres and wife, Mini, Miguel Torres, Oscar Torres, Blanca Miller and husband, Johnnie, all the children were born in Durango, Mexico, brother, Vicente Torres and sister Lucina Torres.

He is also survived by 27 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
