Mildred Dunn

Graveside Services for Mildred E. Dunn, 90, Clinton resident and formerly of Cordell will be held 10:00 A.M., Thursday, June 21,2012 in the Lawn View Cemetery in Cordell, Oklahoma, officiated by R.B. Mathis and under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home. Mildred Emmagene (Robinson) Young-Dunn was born December 5,1921 to J.H. and Dexter D. Robinson in Cordell, OK and passed away Monday, June 18,2012 in the Methodist Health Care Center in Clinton, Oklahoma Mildred was raised in the Cordell area and attended school in Cordell and Rocky areas. She married Dan Young on September 19,1940 in Cordell, OK where they made their home and he preceded her in death in 1972. She was then married to Virgil Dunn on April 5,1974 in Broken Arrow, OK and they continued to live in Cordell and Mr. Dunn preceded her in death in 1997. She has been a resident of Clinton for the past 7 years. She was also preceded in death by her parents, and four brothers, Neal Robinson, Clearance Robinson, Eual Robinson and an infant brother, and a sister, Lillie Robinson. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Cordell; she enjoyed gardening, sporting events and spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by three daughters, Laverne Thiessen and husband, Terry, and Sue Turner and husband, Dr. Charles, all of Clinton and Wanda Maddox and husband, Joe, Cordell. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
