Memorial Services for Millie Cruson, 94, Lifelong Clinton resident will be held 2:00 P.M., Saturday, March 5, 2016 in the First Presbyterian Church, officiated by Rev. Carol Waters. Immediately following the funeral service, everyone is invited to the Church Basement to greet family members and enjoy refreshments. Burial will be held in the Parkersburg Cemetery under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home. Millie Leigh (Meacham) Cruson was born August 3, 1921 to Cecil C. Meacham and Artie Mae (Cowell) Meacham in Clinton, Oklahoma and passed away Wednesday, March 2, 2016 in the Grace Living Center in Clinton, Oklahoma. Millie has spent her entire life in Clinton. She graduated from Clinton High school in 1939 and on September 17, 1939 she married Clarence Cruson. Clarence was a master mechanic in this area and Millie assisted him with the family business, Cruson and Son Auto Repair. Clarence and Millie farmed and raised cattle where she assisted in the farming operation. Her passion was caring for her husband and family. She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers, Bob Meacham, Clint Meacham, George Meacham, CC "Zeke" Meacham, Marvin Meacham, and six sisters, Josephine Hathaway, Mae Pyron, Lucille Johnson, Ila Faye Easley, Cleo Johnson and Ameilia Hudgins. She was a longtime and faithful member of the First Presbyterian Church. Her favorite things were gardening, reading, cooking, and dancing. Her favorite hobby was making and delivering pies to all of her friends and family. Her hero was George Strait. She is survived by two daughters, Canda Sewell and husband, Ron, Kim Aneshansley and husband, Brad, and son, Gary Cruson and wife, Carla; brother Press Meacham and wife, Billie Kay and sisters in law, Bea Moore, Pat Meacham and Juanita Meacham She is also survived by her Grandchildren, Collin Sewell, Autumn Drinnon, Leigh Armstrong, Baerett Aneshansley, Cooper Cruson, Chance Cruson, Conner Cruson, and Kendy Cox and 9 great-grandchildren. The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the Grace Living Center Administration and staff and to Shepherd Hospice for the Love, Care and Support they showed to Millie. The family has suggested those wanting to give a memorial contribution may consider the First Presbyterian Church or the charity of their choice.
