FORT WORTH -- Modelle Beatrice Reed McLin passed away peacefully Sunday evening, Oct. 4, 2015, at her residence. Mrs. McLin celebrated her 99th birthday earlier this year. Service: A committal service will be held Saturday, Oct. 24, in Clinton Cemetery, under the direction of Kiesau - Lee Funeral Home. The Rev. Roland Youngberg of the First United Methodist Church of Clinton will preside. Modelle was born in Custer County, Okla., on June 2, 1916. She was married to Dale McLin who died in 1984 following 50 years of marriage. Modelle and Dale were parents of two children, James and Janet. Lovingly called "Grandma Dale" by all, Modelle was a loving, caring and dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother. She was hard-working and served her community generously. Modelle was loved and admired by her friends and neighbors who marveled at her service to others. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, James; and brothers, Robert Clayton Elmore Reed and Joe Reed. Survivors: In addition to her daughter, Janet and her husband, Bill, of Fort Worth, Modelle is survived by her five grandchildren, Teresa Grizzle, Kristina Hartman, Jamie Langston and her husband, Douglas, Christin Bator and her husband, John, and Roderick Lanier and his wife, Kelly; 11 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; brother, Gary Dean Reed of Missouri; and nieces and nephews and their families.
